🧁 About This Space

I want to be clear about something up front: I’m on a health and fitness journey that may or may not involve weight loss—but my goal isn’t to shrink to be more worthy. I’ve spent years healing my relationship with food, movement, and my body. This space is about sustainable self-care, not aesthetic perfection.

I’m here to document improvement—however it shows up. That includes eating for nourishment and pleasure, movement that brings joy rather than punishment, and mental health practices that prioritize healing over hustle.

I know that for many people, “health” and “weight loss” have been weaponized. I’m working hard to stay rooted in a body-neutral, trauma-informed mindset, even as I explore what wellness looks like for me. That includes questioning diet culture, honoring lived experience, and rejecting shame-based narratives—especially those that target fat, neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, disabled, or otherwise marginalized bodies. I won’t always get it right, but I’m not afraid to learn or admit when I’ve made a mistake.

A Note on My Writing Process

Some of my posts are shaped with support from digital tools that help me brainstorm, organize ideas, and build structure—especially when I’m wrestling with perfectionism or executive dysfunction. The voice, experience, and final say are always my own.

TL;DR: I stopped chasing the illusion of “after.” The real magic lives in the awkward, snack-fueled middle—and I’m finally okay with that. Pull up a floor pillow, grab a snack, and join me in the blanket fort. Healing’s weird, but we make it cozy—with graham crackers, emotional honesty, and maybe a playlist that makes you cry on purpose.
